berkey leaking problems?

Anyone here have problems with their berkey leaking? Mine leaks around the outlet nozzle. I have it tightened down hard, by hand, and it leaks, I loosen it a bit and it stops. Then it starts leaking again in a day or two.

It seems I can't find the sweet spot? Any suggestions?

I can't seem to figure it out...I have a rubber washer on the inside and the outside.

Re: berkey leaking problems?

the berkey is round but the inside and outside parts of the tap are flat. They must all be flat, where they meet to make a good seal. On my berkey I did it up tight enough that it went flat between the inside and outside tap washers. Makes a proper seal, no leaks. Had the same problem as you btw.
